24/10/09 Australia - Litchfield

Today my brother did these farting noises again. Today our left back wheel was flat. My father had to change it. I was thinking if something pocked into it or that if we were at the rocky road yesterday and that made a hole into the wheel. Whatever it was it was fixed by now. while my father was fixing it the rest of the family was eating their breakfast. When my father was finished fixing it he ate too. My mother accompanied him. Because my father doesn't like to eat alone. Well I was sad that this was our last day here. I knew that we would have to give back the car, but I didn't want to. Before we gave back the car we went to the Wangi Falls. As you can expect it's another waterfall. It was a nice waterfall. You didn't have to walk far to get to it. There was a loop walk that my father and I managed to walk. The walk was only 1.7km long and took us about half an hour. After we finished my mother and brother were waiting for us to come and then swim. That's what we did. Nearby was a small kiosk. We bought ice cream, ate it and then we ate Lemington that we still had in our fridge. Because it was our last day in Australia and we had to give back the car and go to the airport we got on our way to Darwin. We gave back the car, took our baggage and went to city to see a little bit of the city. We didn't have much time, so we went to Mc Donalds to eat. At the airport we took the right flight and went to Jakarta. At home I was so happy to see my cats and my bed again. Now I'm back in my Home sweet Home.

23/10/09 Australia - Litchfield National Park

In bed my brother was pretending that he was farting. I don't like it when he does that. We went to another waterfall. First it was a walk to a lookout and then to pool of it. Well and then we had a shady Creek walk. Then we went to Buley Rockholes. That are waterholes where you can swim. I would say it was like a waterfall. Just that the water was not flowing directly down, but it was like a river. I said that this is the best place I have been in my holiday. You could slide down like on a slide, but it didn;t slide that well and hurted. The water had a good temperature and was a great place to swim and have fun. Then we went to the lost city. it wasn't a city at all. there were just rocks and a path that you could go and see these rocks. Then we went to a safari car park for a sleepover. this time we grilled chicken on a grill provided. It of corse took a while. So I first took a shower and then when the chicken was ready we of corse ate it. At first I didn't want to sleep, but then I fell asleep.

22/10/09 Australia - Coming to Litchfield

We had to wake up early again. We went to another boat tour. This one had an earlier breakfast. It was on the boat. Well and we had to walk a little bit. But not far at all. We saw some rocks and on the walk some paintings. It was a nice tour I would say. After the tour we went back to the campground to pick up our tent. And then we were on our way to a gallery I would say. We bought a painting of a turtle. After that we went shopping again. We ate and went to Litchfield visitor center. We saw a model of the Karlstein castle on our way to the the Litchfield visitor and caravan park.

21/10/09 Australia - Gunlom and Edith falls

I woke up early, because of the birds. I went down to my parents tent. We cleaned up everything from that tent and ate our breakfast there. Meanwhile my brother came down to eat with us. We all got ready to go and headed the road again. On our way we had to stop to turn on our 4WD, because we were on our way to a rocky road that guided us to a burned area near a waterfall. This waterfall was not dried out. There was some water coming down, but not as much as we usually see in Australia. on top of this waterfall you could swim. The water was more refreshing than the one from yesterday. I saw a 50cm long lizard. It was beautiful. Because I was hot I went into the water. There were no crocodiles up here. After the swim we went to town to eat something. We got on our way to an information center and bought more food. The city we now were in is called Katherine. The info center was closed and our tanks were empty. so we went to a tanking area and filed both the main and sub tank. We drove a small way to a camping area. While we were eating our dinner I saw a light and wanted to know what it was. I went to it and saw that it was only a candle. On my way to this candle a big bat flue over my head. It's wings were about 50cm long. It was beautiful and scary at the same time. I told it my parents and then went to bed. In bed I wasn't asleep. I still watched the bats and couldn't stop watching. This time my whole family saw them and then we all fell asleep.

20/10/09 Australia - Yellow water - Maguk

Today my family and I took a bus to the yellow water river. We just had to sit in a boat and listen what the guides were saying. We saw crocodiles, birds and fish. they all were amazing. The crew brought us to the restaurant in the camp and then ate some breakfast. After that we went to the car and packed our stuff. Then we went to the pool to get another swim. My mother and I took a shower and off we all went to an aboriginal cultural center. We saw writings about how they feel now and how they felt before. We also saw some traditional things from them. From that place on we went to Maguk waterfall. This waterfall at least had some water. There was a place to swim. We swam and felt very got afterwards. When I got out and changed I felt hot again. Back in the car we drove to a shop to buy some food. Right next to it was a camp were we ate and went to bed.
