18/10/09 Australia - Nourlangie

In the morning it took us one hour to pack our table, chairs and tents. And then we went to see some more things in Australia. We went to a visitor center that was pretty interesting. After that we saw the billabong. That means something like lake or pond. At the one we were at were crocodiles. But we didn't see any. Then we went to another place with aboriginal paintings. They were even nicer than the ones we saw in the first place. Then in the car my parents stopped to look at the map or something. Then it finally continued on a rocky road to another camp. In every place there are flies and they are very disturbing. At night we got ready for tomorrows long walk. We had a nice grill time with the flies. Even when thy were annoying the dinner still tasted good.

You've mentioned the flies more than once now. I wonder if this is going to be a theme on this holiday. Your mom is right, Australia really does have lots and lots of annoying flies.

So are you guys out a Kakadu National Park?
